Challenge

 When the time came to prepare a multi-million dollar proposal and presentation for one of their valued clients, Design Group turned to CTS for design and phasing plan support, and to produce stunning graphics and visualizations for the presentation.

Solution

Time was of the essence, and after a consultation period CTS condensed down from a few weeks to a few days, CTS staff integrated with the Design Group project leads by setting up on-site technical support services. CTS made this necessary decision in order to clearly understand Design Group’s goals as well as to cut down the revision cycle turnaround time from planning, phasing, evaluation, design changes and presentation preparation.

Throughout the project not only did CTS function seamlessly as an extension of Design Group’s staff, but also drawing from experience working on similar projects in the past suggested the use of the latest 3-D software technology to design and visualize their proposed plan in the realm of virtual reality. Design Group trusted CTS’ recommendation and authorized the additional budget for the 3-D Modeling effort, which almost immediately had the benefit of communicating routing and phasing conflicts that existed with the design as planned. Once the plan was redesigned and modeled the decision was made to take the 3-D deliverables right into the presentation to give the client further assurance that the proposed design was solid and that future costly construction change orders could be avoided.
