CTS: A Little History

I started my career over a decade ago working for Bay Area Water Resource Engineers, Schaaf & Wheeler where I gained my first exposure on how to develop solutions to deal with the forces of nature. Almost immediately, I began to understand the intrinsic connection humankind has with our environment and I am very proud that same sense of environmental responsibility has stuck and even helps shape our business model today.

A few years later I moved on to working with HMH Engineers, an accomplished group of Land Planners, Civil Engineers and Landscape Architects whose core focus at the time was achieving results. My time there taught me to never lose sight of our Client's goals even during the daily grind, and with that focus I learned that hard work would lead to successfully achieving our client's expectations. During my five years at HMH, I was privileged to be involved with almost every aspect of Land Development...from major Civil Engineering projects, to advocating on behalf of our clients' concerns at community meetings, to helping to beautify our environment by learning design from some incredibly talented Landscape Architects.

With a fast-slowing economy, I and many others moved on from HMH at the end of 2007. I decided to put my many years of experience to good use co-founding VER Consultants Inc, a small Civil Engineering, Land Planning and Landscape Architecture outfit with three other partners. I had very high hopes and expectations while serving as the Chief Operating Officer for almost two years, and although it was a relatively brief stint, I am incredibly proud at the level of organization I was able to bring to such a young and ambitious startup.
